Actual Jelly Bean Update!

My phone isn't rooted. It's the same as if I took it out the box fire the first time.I can't wait to get my Jelly Bean update.I heard May 22nd, that's when it suppose to be rolling out.but I have read some posts that some people got their Jelly Bean update early, hopefully I'll get mines before May 22nd. :)

I've rebooted several times. I still don't get the update. should I just keep force stopping it and rebooting until it comes up?

Instead of just force stopping it I cleared the data also and it worked right away.

EDIT: Never mind, it was just the MB3, or whatever its called update.
I'm frustrated. I want Jelly Bean!

I'm currently stuck at the Samsung boot screen(the last one before you see the lock screen), going to leave it there for an hour and see if it boots up or not. If not, I don't know what to do :(.

Did you get past the samsung boot screen? I have the same problem! im mad and scared

My install failed a couple days ago and I haven't been able to get it back after FCing and clearing Google Services Framework and even doing a factory reset. I'm worried that the system is skipping over me now thinking that it succeeded. Pretty bummed.

You should be OK as long as you haven't changed your recovery. Be warned though, once you update you WILL lose root and at the moment there is no way to get root back. Poot will no longer work.
Did you have any problems during the update? My PHONE is still stuck at the last samsung screen. I need help? if you had the same problems please reply

I tried the procedure above many times with no success. But, when I added a step 3.5 "clear data" to the procedure in the OP it worked right away. Previously I wasn't clearing the data, or was clearing the data after the force stop. clear data, force stop, use the back button and check for update right away worked. Might just have gotten lucky , but try it.

I've done this before and got the MB3 or whatever update. I'll keep trying.

This happened to me also. The only way I could flash the MB3 was via Kies through the PC. After I did the flash successfully, the JB update started downloading.
