ad blocker for un-rooted phone

Coming from a rooted warp with ad blocker built in, forgot how annoying those ads were when using most apps, even the app for android forums have them, never knew that before. I have been looking for an ad blocker for non root but can not find, I hate the new play store, look up ad block get everything but. If anybody knows of one that would be great. Thanks.

Well I don`t want to root this phone yet, not a lot of support for it, plus I`v only had it less than a week.

I did some research, it appears google has taken all the ad blocker apps off the play store, they don`t want people to use them. The developers are complaining that there losing money. I tried Adblock Plus but it didn`t work for me, could not change the proxy settings. It`s funny, google doesn`t want there app on the play store but pays Adblock to let acceptable ads through. I don`t know I think that I should be able to decide what I want to see on my phone not google or the developers.

I rooted mine with motochopper before I activated & put AdFree on from their site, not sure where it ranks in the ad blocking world though but I've been using it for a while on other android devices.
On boost I've rooted a few Prevails & 2 Evo Designs, this is by far the easiest thing I've rooted.

I'm also rooted and use AdAway from the f-droid repository. (Should be able to find it with a google search.)

The google play store had fake ad-blocking apps with the same name (asking for root!) last time I checked, so to be safe I'd stay away from play store for add blockers.

I've had my F7 for less that a week also and came from a ZTE Warp Sequent which was rooted and running Adaway. Rooting the new phone was one of the first things I did because I wanted to run Adaway on this one too. I've got it installed and it's working great.

I was using ad muncher to remove ads,but it was a complete failure. Have replaced it with adguard pop-ups blocker to take a sigh of relief as it's better than other adblockers in my opinion.

How did you get AdBlock to install? Mine won't let me save the settings...
