Root [ADB] 64 bit binary for linux

I guess this is the best place to put this. I have been having issues with adb after my system took a dump and I lost all my andriod files while in the middle of off-loading them to my server at home. Needless to say, I went and installed the newest latest and greatest ubuntu 64 bit. Well, adb does not like 64 bit linux. After weeks and weeks of trying this and that, I stumble upon this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1067273.

BIG thanks to MarkusPO to compiling a 64 bit adb binary.

To install, just replace any instance of adb on your system. Works like a champ. Even used it to replace adb in the aio's. Fantabolous!!!!!!:D:cool:

For Linux Based Operating Systems (Debian)

I've never had a issue with adb on my system, which all my systems are 64bit. I just dl the linux android-sdk, unzip, run the android binary, install everything I need. Then I copy adb to either ~/bin were I install repo too, or to usr/local/bin. Of course one can also just set PATH to it in ~/android-sdk/platform-tools.

I then set up udev, logout, and all is good to go. ;)

I have no clue as to what was going on with my system. I tried 64 bit ubuntu, mint, and even debian. When I tried 'adb devices' i got a blank s/n. Nothing in adb would find a device. So, I don't know. All I know is with this, all is good in adb land.

Now, I'm getting similar issues in win7 64bit. idk. And now having issues with apktool and building apk's. Keep getting errors when trying to add ics settings and miui battery bar. idk.

I just needed all this to work to i could start playing with apk's again. :)
