Root [ADB] Android Commander

i tried to use this with my optimus and it isnt working. How do you know if you are hard rooted? obviously my optimus isnt "hard rooted" but it is rooted. its not a temp root either so idk whats going on with that. anyone?

Hard root is when you have full access to system files. Soft root is rooted but your access is limited.

When a custom ROM is made the root is usually recognized as hard rooted. Only when you have a stock ROM with maybe a flashed kernel will you be soft rooted from which the kernel can be changed to make it hard rooted. Or the phone itself can be changed. I tried the process and I couldn't ever get it to work when my phone was coming up as soft rooted on LD-LG with the plague kernel but then PlayfulGod changed the kernel so that it would read hard rooted.

I see you.. Are on the computer/phone.
 
Then your computer must be blocking the phone somehow. Check system/devices under control panel and make sure your phone comes up under ports/com when its plugged in.
 
Hi fuzzy!! the link is no good says error overused server,,,,any ideas? i kindascrewed up my phone again and its stuck in the boot screen and i dont have a sD card converter so wanted a driver to dowload directly from my pc to phone using the usb

did you flash recovery and made that backup we told you to do?
 
yes i did to the ROM Recovery Clockwatch ... but somehow as i the plauge Rom was downloading a error happened and thats when it got froze and i had to boot and i mistakenly pressed the Key option then paniced and my back up /restore from SD card was gone :(
 
hmmm, try downloading the rom from your computer and put it into you SD card, the you just simply flash in recovery and that should fix it
