Add apps to SD card??

Does anyone know how to move/save apps to your SD card? I am using the RA heroc rom and apps to SD will not work are there any other apps to do this or can you do it manually with a file manager?

Try one of the custom roms such as modaco or fresh. IIRC, they both have app2sd integrated into them (but I could very well be incorrect on this).

Most rooted builds these days have app to sd built in and if you update to a custom recovery/bootloader it will most likely be able to setup/format and move everything for you... pretty easy actually...

I have MoDaCo 1.1 and I used apps2sd and apps2sd 2 and neither of them worked. I even followed the directions to add the file system/sd/app and that didn't work.

ALL THOSE ROMS HAVE IT BUILT INTO THEM BUT YOU MUST PARTION YOUR SD CARD TO EXT3 IN ORDER TO USE THEM sorry i didnt realize caps lock was on oopps

ok well i just partitioned it and then converted it to a ext3...now where to find the program or does it do it automatically

Ok I formatted my Sd crd and now none of my apps I download show on the main screen and when I try to open them from the program menu all force close's. What happens now?

Ok my visual voicemail disappeared on me. I partitioned my SD card and backed up before I did. I was just trying to do the whole app2sd on my using the fresh 1.0. Is there anyway to get this back?

Where did you re-download all these apps? I did the same thing and now everything I click on force closes. Oh no! I think I should have left all these apps on the system memory and kept all my further downloaded apps separate. Oh gosh... lol

Is it worth it to utilize Apps2Card? I have not found much information on this subject or it being used all that much by Rooted Android users. Just wondering if it's worth it, or can we just keep cleaning the cache with apps like "cachemate Pro" and such....? I've also heard if your card fails on your or it's out, it can brick the phone!

If anyone out there has the feature and thinks it's worth it's weight in gold, let me/us know about it....and the hardcore pros it carries.

Thanks in advance :D

If I have my apps installed to the SD card and do a wipe, will the apps just show right back up on any new ROM that I flash, or will I have to manually install them all again?

yes.. if the card is taken out while powered on..or if the card fails it can cause a lot of problems.. some have done a hard reset and recovered.. others have had to RUU the phone..

to pros are.. you can have more than 70 apps installed
