After the EVO and the EPIC, what is next for Sprint?

LOL are you serious?

I have friends who work at Microsoft in the mobile division. And if that's not enough, here's some additional proof: Windows Phone 7 Avoids CDMA -- Why? - PCWorld

I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you, your credibility has gone down the drain. You're looking might silly right now.

sure you do and my dad is dan hesse hey its the internet anything is possible. Seeing as I work with this stuff every day for a living I will go with what i know over any website. Heck I can make an article and pull it out my ass to its not hard get over yourself.

Unfortunately, your new. These guys don't automatically trust new guys especially if your saying something they don't agree with. If you want to be taken seriously around here as an "inside guy" then you need to come up with some "new" news and pics to go along with it. ;)

Seriously you still trolling?

PC World is a highly respected high tech source, and multiple credible news sources confirm what my Microsoft mobile insiders are telling me - CDMA is a lower priority and simply will not ship until mid 2011.

If you think we're gullible enough to believe your word without any verification, when I have Microsoft contacts and the media confirming what everyone else knows, then you're sadly mistaken.

The consensus seems to be no CDMA on WP7 till 2011. Thanks for playing.

If the CDMA carriers want to release a CDMA phone this year they can. I believe the desire was not their initially..

But I would not rule out seeing one this year.. MY guess would be HTC launching one before the year is out for US CDMA carrier(s)

There are test units out in the wild.

I don't think there will be CDMA units without 4G/LTE capability. AT&T will turn itself inside out to roll out the next iPhone even if that means giving iPhones away with new contracts. There are a lot of people who will have a different view of ATT & iPhone pairing if ATT gets the LTE rollout right and fast-tracked. I'm thinking the next real iPhone news will be in mid- to early spring in time to get people juiced for another annual iPhone introduction.

Time to check the FCC filings.....

I think Sprint and VZW have had to commit to Android to a point that CDMA-only iPhone is unlikely. There are so many things about Android that get under Jobs skin that the carriers can't undo now that they have so many bestsellers that aren't N1s. That leaves Jobs with no direct attack at Google.

when you post something factual wake me So fa only Verizon has said thier not releasing one and sprint has been quiet.. TIll sprint says their I woudlnt beleive other wise. and since we are currently testing 2 diffrent ones anything is possible.

I would love to see Android become so dominant in the market that iPhone on more carriers become a non-issue. Apple's exclusivity on AT&T has actually been a blessing for innovation. It allowed Android to develop and flourish and come to a point where it is technically superior to the iPhone. The only downside is that people's perception is still that Apple is better because they were the "innovator;" they were first. Credit where credit is due, Apple was first to make a touchscreen phone successful. But they are no longer superior. Google's Android is now forcing Apple to up their game, not just make their phone look prettier and brand it as a new phone.

Between Sprint and Verizon, based on the evidence I've seen so far, Sprint is the more likely candidate for the iPhone. Verizon has publicly snubbed iPhone in their Android marketing (during Antennagate). There's no reason to do that if they're secretly in bed. Not to mention Verizon's CEO implied that Apple wants 4G ready before making a commitment.

Sprint is the underdog, but they have 4G. And I see no reason why Sprint wouldn't allow Android and iPhone duel it out. It's great for business to have that kind of CHOICE on one carrier.

I have been with Sprint since 1999, and I have never had issues with customer service or dropped calls. I find Sprint to have the best value (despite the silly $10 marketing ploy with the superphones). I would love for Sprint to get the iPhone and prove that their network can handle the load and handle it at 4G speeds. I would never buy an iPhone though :)

A casual friend who works at Sprint told me they'll be introducing two new phones around November 20. Whether those phones will be Android, he didn't say, but he did bring it up in the middle of an Android conversation.
