Personally im a fan of Vodka, tequila and absinthe (prepared the proper way) I usually will drink out of the freezer and just sip it. tequila is my favorite if im out with friends doing shots or something and absinthe to just kind of relax and enjoy my night. as for brands I prefer double cross or russian standard vodka, hurra durra tequila, and pernod absinthe if I can get it imported over otherwise I suffer through lucid.

when you mention Absinthe prepared "the proper way..." I'll assume you mean traditional/authentic incorporating wormwood?

by proper way I mean, having ice cold water slowly drip into a glass with a small amount of absinthe in it, takes a few minutes for the glass to be ready but its soo much better tasting and enjoyable then taking a shot blargh, or any other way iver tried. if done well it helps to really bring out the earthy tones of the drink

Not a big fan of liquor really, gimme a nice imported beer and I'm straight. Dos Equis, Corona or Heineken and If the mood is just right, a nice German Hefeweizen would be excellent.

I like martinis and mixed drink when I'm out with my girls or relaxing. A bottle of red or white for dinner.

I find this is the best to make martinis since they don't have much of an 'after taste' like some other vodka does. It's smooth and delicious <3 And it's pretty cheap for being so good. Same price as Absolute, Skyy, Smirnoff. Not sure if it sells in the US, but in Canada, we only get the basic. I was in heaven when I was in London and can sample their flavour ones!

What some don't know is that Absinthe back in the day, if you bought shoddy Fae, would make you see some crazy stuff. Not because of what they put in it. But due to contaminated stills. Since most were made of copper, if not properly maintained and cleaned the poison Copper Sulfate would develop and make its way into the drink. That is what would make people see things and go crazy.
