Coupla pics I came across on DeviantArt. I am not the artist of either, I just resized and cropped a bit.

Both are NSFW, but the first one isn't much more explicit than an unclothed Barbie doll.

Did anybody mention "ZEDGE.NET" I may have missed it. If not check them out they got all kinds of wall papers, ring tones and more!
 
When I set a wallpaper to any of the HTC ones that come with the phone, they all fit perfectly. The ones I made, and those here, bring up the cropping display, and the crop frame has to be expanded to full, even through all the images are 800 x 960.

I compared one of the HTC wallpapers to one I made. Both are 800 x 960. The only difference is that the HTC files don't have any DPI numbers in their EXIF data, but the others are 96 DPI. I'm wondering if this is what's making the phone want to crop them?
 
First i have a cool one from the dark knight, and second i found a couple of cool pics but theyre too small could anyone resize it? TIA

Hello everyone,

I just got my HTC Evo 2 days ago, and I personally do not like the whole sliding wallapeper deal on the phone. While its a cool feature, i rather have a "fixed" image on the sreen and have the image show on all the screens as i slide over... Is this an option or is there a way to do it?

all you'd have to do is cut an image to 480x800 and it will be "fixed".
if you're using a different launcher (ie LauncherPro), it has an option built in to make a sliding wallpaper fixed if it's bigger than 480x800.

I guess is not that simple LOL

I set the images to 480 x 800 and when i set wallpaper it still gives me the selection box and it amkes me crop the 480 x 800 image :(

ahh i see. i've never actually tried to do that. so if you crop the 480x800 to fullscreen like you would a regular wallpaper, i'm guessing it still moves as you flick left and right?

only thing i can suggest is a different launcher to fix it. i'll do some digging around on the net and see if i can find some other solution. maybe there's an app or fix or something.

edit: nope, didn't find anything. well i did, but all the posts were saying negative. so yeah, LauncherPro. give it a try. it's more functional than HTC Sense imo.

switching from live to static does that to me. I reboot the phone to fix.

vide infra...I'm having trouble making your pictures my wallpaper, and can't figure out why...I'm done the same thing with these images in the past and now in 2.2 it isn't working...is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm clicking on it and saving it, but it isn't coming up when i click on settings>wallpaper>gallery>then resize the image to set it as wallpaper...I've opened the same picture in astro and it all the other images allow me to set as wallpaper from there, but the pictures I've recently DL'd won't...am I doing something wrong?
