Root All my apps disappeared on MIUI

adamkse

Newbie
My apps are all gone except system apps. In the SD card setting it says my A2SD+ is 0.00B. When I go to application settings it has com.xxx for all the apps I should have e.g: com.facebook.katana 0.00B.

Can I get them back?

Thanks
Adam

Did you create a titanium back up of your apps before flashing MIUI? If so, just use TB to restore the apps.

Have they really gone (as in /sd-ext/app is empty), or is it that the link from /data/app to /sd-ext/app is broken?

It might be worth installing a terminal emulator and typing:

su
a2sd reinstall

to see whether this fixes it. Though if you install a terminal emulator you could try the command "ls /sd-ext/app" first to see whether the apks are still there (if it complains about permissions, use "su" first).

If the apks have actually been deleted then Ti will get them back, but I'd wonder how they were deleted. What actually happened before they disappeared?

Thanks for the replies.

I have titanium and miui backups so I still have them.

I tried the ls /sd-ext/app command and it said no such file or directory. I did the a2sd reinstall but at the end it said cannot mount sd.

I've never used rom manager

Aslo as far as what happened I dont know. Put it on charge overnight still on and was like that when I woke up. May have restarted but no idea.

sounds like the ext partition is corrupt. can you browse to sd-ext with rootexplorer?

how was the original ext created?

yeah likely. no I cannot view it on the explorer. i think i will just wipe everything, repartition and load the miui backup.

original was done with gparted. i will use it again.

thanks guys
