Root ally bricked???

wasnt able to get the ota via the lg tool.. it said it was complete and restarted and was stuck in bootloop... unable to get it to take a different rom or re-download the new 2.2, anyone able to help?
 
I had the same problem. I thought for sure i was done for. All i did was keep doing the "unbrick ally" thread. It took about two dozen tries though. I just kept installing drivers and when lg phone updater said problems communicating i just installed the drivers again and plugged it back in. Took awhile. At first it would not boot after getting zv6 back on. I just pulled battery and did a wipe of everyrthing in amon-ra. Booted right back up. Then i just went back to recovery and did a nandroid restore and i was back in business. Cant explain why it worked but it did. I think i will just wait. I like punisher for now.

Death, should I try this even if the phone just bootloops? I've tried your unbrick method, and it won't connect, then says fatal error
 
do you have bootloader access? i may have a file for you to try. sounds like it tried updating to froyo and she unplugged early. you're lucky
 
this sounds dumb, but what is bootloader, I can do that unbrick method, but I can only reboot to recovery, otherwise it boot loops...if you mean the fast boot blue screen then I have not been able to do that
 
I got it!!!!!!! dont know how...but I got it back.... get to sleep in the bed tonight!!!!

actually i deleted all the lg drivers, and instaled d2a's file from above
