alpha GB 2.3 aosp

I will be anxiously waiting for this to ROM to develop! I think we need to wait until the Android 2.3 source code is released first though or certain things will be broken. ;)

I think CyanogenMod 7 is just around the corner as well. I cannot wait! :D

adb logcat > /path/logcat.txt
ctrl+c

Phone via Terminal emulator:
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt 
press the trackball (for ctrl) and c to end the output.

Flash the rom

Boot phone

Boot to recovery

Flash the gapps

Boot phone

Sign into Google account

Everything runs great so far!:D

NO mic/wifi/audio though:(
 
2.3 has been out for a grand total of like 20 hours now, and we already have 2.3 in the works for the heroc. thats pretty damn impressive! Ill set the over/under at xmas before this is fully operational, and im gonna be optimistic, so im taking the under!

It's running pretty nice so far, just noone can hear you if you make a call;)

I've set up the phone and not one force close yet or reboot or freeze:D

I'll take the under, if they can get mic/wifi/audio running
 
This is so Freaking exciting -
Aosp has this out like 10 hours after other devs start a thread on xda on MAYBE bringing it to the hero......

Yeah, no radio support until the source is released. I do not think we will have too long to wait though. ;)

It is pretty impressive that we can even put the ROM on our handset given it was JUST released. I am excited. :D
 
That is the issue with AOSP, does not really post release notes unless really asked, I myself am not play with this until there is a stable release, I let the others play, my ROM is stable and will wait for GB to become stable also, I may flash just to have a look at it ;)

This is all I saw that he posted as being fixed on this release

Not a lot changed, still no mic/audio. I can't get my calender to sync and that's important for me.

Everything runs pretty darn smooth though. Anyone care about benchmarks? JIT disabled: Quad-395, Linpack-3.3.... JIT enabled: Quad 450, Linpack-5.4
 
nice....I would say mic/audio is a dealbreaker for me...I mean...it is a phone...
