As reppard said, YOU broke your phone. Who was the one ballsy enough to try and mod their phone when they Dante know what they were doing. Maybe instead of bashing or complaining, you could have just asked Someone to help u. There are countless amounts of people on here that ate willing to help.
 
hi. i wanted to see if you were done making this rom or not. i would really love ice cream sandwich on my phone.. if youre not done, good luck with finishing this rom :)
 
in all honesty, since i started my new job, development on this project has slowed to a crawl.. im not the night owl i was staying up fixing errors until 5am gettin back up at 10am and continuing on, i get up gto work at 7:30am, i get home between 4 and 6pm, then i take care of my daughter and by the time she goes to bed im ready for bed because 7:30am comes early.. so on my days off i try to get done what i can.. i have uploaded my files to the OP, i have been doing massive kernel and driver testing, those files however are not int he OP, once we have a working kernel, most of our issues will be resolved.. unfortunately, i dont have the time i once did.. the kernel source is readily available at lg open source page, so if anyone feels like setting up a machine and trying to compile this themselves and help out a little that would be great, but i really dont care to see the bitching.. we're doing our best with the time we have, i do have a family, and they are the most important thing to me.
 
I'm willing to be your official tech Guyanese get a repository setup for this (github). Pm me and well talk

    • We don't mind 'em.* Heck, we do them too! However, there does become a point and time when they are a bit much. If it gets to the point where you are carrying a conversation or there are a few off topic posts in a row, it's time to move it to PM (or a thread in the Lounge).
    • Speaking of threads in the Lounge.... It didn't appear as though you guys had a Water Cooler thread in the Lounge yet. HERE YOU GO, NOW YOU DO!!! :D Feel free to chat it up all you want in that thread (keeping in mind that the Forum Rules still apply).
  • It was asked "We don't see too many Mods around these parts... why not?" Simply put, there are a handful of us and THOUSANDS of you (each of whom are posting) at all the time. Simply put, it's impossible for us to see and read every post in every forum. We truly rely heavily upon you to keep the community clean and report those posts that are questionable or troublesome. We're normal guys, we have day jobs... but we also care about the forum and the android community as a whole. Got a question, feel free to Report it, ask in the Chat in Private with Staff or shoot any of us a PM.

wanted to give an update.. im currentyl syncing with CM9 source.. this thread will be changing to CM9 instead of AOSP, all progress will continue int his thread to avoid confusion.. just going to rename it

Does this mean it will still be ics or now changed to cm9? Sorry a little confuzzled. Lol


Edit: haha I now feel like a dumbass, Google is my friend talk to 'em ha, I've seen it IS based off ics am I correct?

Sounds great! I'm certainly looking forward to a good working ICS ROM, AOSP or CM9.

Cm9 is Ics. Just like Cm7 is Gingerbread. Its Cynagenmods own wa y of refering to there work .

Thank you for house cleaning this thread and i apologize for my crudeness. But just so you aren't disappointed, I didn't think my post was appropriate, on the contrary, I knew it was inappropriate! In the future I will stride to be more civil.
 
im using my neighbors interent through a 10 year old wireless adapter that keeps losing signal.. so.. once my internet is back on here, ill be able to sync back up lol

I've got five whole days off from work so maybe I can get something going on this. Need to resync and re-download all the source. If you are on I will hit you up cause im sure to hit some road blocks!
 
no problem brotha, ill be around.. my phone should be back in within the next few days cross your fingers.. and internet as well.. so once im back up and running at 100% ill be back to work on this.. and i still want to get with you on my app project as well.. once i ahve everythingt ogether

After flashing ics both my optimus m get stuck on black screen.But when flash ics with another kernal(r.o.c.k-v0.3anyrom) the phone boots to Ics lockscreen . Unable to unlock phone, touchscreen seems to be about a inch off from where I press. I think its the new kernal, Can't test anyfurther until I unlock. Sorry and Thanks in advance for all your hard work.

that's all its suppose to do for now lol. they're still working on getting the touch screen to work right.
you have to use two fingers and even though its hard it's not impossible :D but other than that you can't much but look at it's new look and mess around with settings if your patient enough
 
I know .It's alpha tittle says it all. Just thought posting kernal I used would give people that's having problems with it a taste
