Root Alpharev problem

OK... problem here.

I ran unrevoked, and that worked (at least I can have superuser permissions and can use apps like titanium backup and screengrabbers that need root access) and moved on to the next step of Alpharev.

I burnt it to CD, booted up the PC with it, put my phone into debug mode and plugged it in the USB socket as on a video I've watched at least 4 times now.

And then this:

And the laptop rebooted.

I have an HTC Desire, bought from T-Mobile last year, on T-Mobile.

Help!

redownload it and reburn, looks like some files are corrupted on the cd and its not able to execute the scripts

also try what IB says

Thanks guys, I'll give it a go later today when I get a spare minute... and when people stop bloody texting! Paranoid getting a text would do bad things to the phone during this procedure :D

Re-downloaded the iso from the site and burnt that image to CD as well.

Tried the steps again, still the same problem.

For some reason, I just decided to check it I was still rooted, and looked for the superuser permissions icon. I tapped it, and there was a process marked "unknown" with a red dot next to it... I selected that, turned the dot green.

Tried it again, and it went through perfectly, no problems.

I think superuser permission had been denied somewhere in the process... anyway, sorted now.

Thanks for the help, and hopefully this info might be useful to other cowardly rooters like myself :D
