@SupDawg444 there is no 2.0. AlpharevX will be the successor. It is very likely it will support bravoc 1.06. Temproot only needed (built-in)

It looks like we may get root after all!

i would imagine temp root is only needed to get the exploit working to flash hboot
once hboot is flashed it will flash recovery
with recovery you can flash a rooted rom.

I always wondered this and whether alpharev would try it , seems they are now. might be a root method for other unrootable htc devices too

Need to keep a close eye on this one for the rooting faq / quide. MandaNick, please keep me updated :)
 
i thought they would go down this line anyway, the only reason i think the didnt was because of the work unrevoked were doing and they gave alpharev their exploitation secret to crack nand.
at this point unrevoked have pretty much stated they are not really going any further with it so now alpharev are on it.

I wanted to test if you could use alpharev with visionary but i didnt want to use my own device as donor, i was just hoping one day somebody would try it as it only seems to need root for the initial checks
 
I will keep everyone updated, and I plan on doing a rooting tutorial once the method is released. They also plan on using this method with the Wildfire's, and other hboot 1.xx devices.
 
Ok, from what I can find(lots of reading between the lines), I think this is the process,

(1) Temp root
(2) Flash rootable hboot
(3) Root
(4) Enjoy

I know it's not overly technical, but I think thats going to be the process. Do you guys think thats plausible?
 
OH Thank God. I was starting to loose hope that I'd ever be able to root. I WANT TO ROOT!!!!!!!.......Sorry. Lost control. Really though, this is awesome! I can't wait. I sadly, without the ability to root, and no really question on how to to things on my phone, have stopped visiting this forum as much. So, when it does finally get released, send a PM my way MandaNick
 
Based off what the OP says in this thread, we may have root by the end of the month. But then again, I remember hearing something like that from the unrEVoked guys too ;). I certainly hope he's right though!!!
