Root already rooted?

Lurker
I just bought a used Incredible and of course I have the itch to "not" leave well enough alone so thats why I am here.
I think the ph is already rooted, I just read in another thread that one way of confirming is to d/l and install an app that needs root access. I just installed quickboot and it installed and I was able to choose the reboot option and it rebooted fine.
Looking at the settings/sw info for the kerenel I see 2.6.32.17-g9a2fc16.
Just want to find out if a rom or new kernel was already installed but either way, I can just say d/l ROM manager and go from there?
thxs

**hmm, maybe I am not rooted, just d/l and installed Titanium backup but failed when I granted it SU access

Download terminal emulator and open it. Type su AND HIT ENTER. If the # changes to $, you're rooted. :)

Ok so yes I did get a prompt...but why was Titanium blocked?

oops nm, i re read instructions for installing Titanium and it installed Busy box..

go to phone settings -> about phone -> software.

that will tell you whats installed. some googleing will tell you what the official version numbers are, and if your not stock, some more googleing will tell you what is installed.
