Root am i backing up wrong?

I use mybackup pro (paid for it) and I backup everything then just reinstall what I need when I do it. I wipe dalvik and cache and format, then just flash whatever new rom I need. I've probably wiped and flashed five or six times today testing out some new releases. it has only taken maybe an hour for the entire process of wiping and flashing everything back. two hours tops including the time i leave between pressing stuff. I hear people saying they hate it and its a bother. Am I missing a step? It seems really simple and easy for me.

If it takes you 1-2 hours to flash something then you certainly aren't "missing" anything...based on time. I can wipe and flash and reboot in about 10 minutes.... I guess I don't understand the question reference backing up?

I mean all day it has taken me about 1 to two hours tops to wipe, flash and reboot six or seven times.
