Am I missing the point

I have just factory reset my phone to help get rid of junk that has been building up. Thought it would ne easy to track what apps I had as the are saved under my Google account.

When I logged into the market with my account and went to apps nothing was there. What happens if I ever pay for an app then reset my phone?
Surely this would be a good idea to save the lust u download to your account, or maybe I'm just missing the point.

Paid apps would still be there in your market account.

There is an option in Froyo to back up app data with google's servers - that may back up unpaid apps as well as data, but I don't know as I don't use it.

Paid apps are linked to your Google account so even if you change phones, you don't need to pay again.

Do you use Mybackup Pro?

No I don't use that. Would've that a list of downloaded apps would be saved. Used to be like that with ovi store I think. Not a major problem as long as paid apps are saved. Thinking about buying power amp

Sense 2.0 does this. When you reload the Market after a hard reset it automatically downloads the apps that were installed at the last time in sync'd with your Gmail account

Weirdly it downloaded and installed 3 by itself, one being flash 10.1

That would be why. Think the other two were maps and g mail I think.
