Am I the only one who cannot get 2.2 for my Droid X?

Hey guys... I've been trying the 'manual' OTA push for a week now... with now luck... My phone just sits on 'Checking for Available Update. Please wait'...

And then comes back with no available updates?

I've rebooted the phone...
I've tried over Wi-Fi
I've tried over 3G...

Cannot get the update to 2.2

Can someone help me out? Am I the only one?

Yup, that's the newest build # for Froyo 2.2

Hey guys... 1 more question...

With 2.2 is there any way to choose PATTERN for the screen lock?

Is there any way to disable the PIN lock?

Both the NONE & PATTERN are 'greyed out' on my phone now.

The pin lock is usually disabled for people with Exchange (work) emails. Deleting the email account and re-adding it, fixes that.

You might want to make sure your unlock is enabled before doing the update since some people can't disable it after, if it was already disabled.

Scroll down to post 62 for info to delete the cache.

Thanks... no need to clear the cache... deleting the exchange account and a reboot fixed it! Nice!

1 more question... every time I plug in my Droid X to my laptop... this Verizon app / video plays in my browser on the laptop... anyway to disable it?

You should be able to turn that off on your laptop from the task bar, lower right hand corner, right click on the vcast icon and the option should be there to not start it automatically.

You still might want to clear the cache after a major update like 2.2, it improves stability.
