yes, using nav while playing or streaming music is awesome! i did it on my Moto Droid a few times. i haven't gotten a chance to use it on my Inc yet, but i'm sure it works the same, if not better.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Maybe a stupid question, but where do you guys set your phone when you are using navigation. Normal GPS have window mounts, do you have one for the phone or just set it on the console or something.
Thanks!
Does anyone know the polling rate of the GPS? Is it 1hz, 5hz, or more?
1.21 Gigawatts...
(Sorry, back to the future moment..)
I'm sure it has to be at least 5hz, if not 10..
with my Moto Droid i had the Verizon windshield mount which is pretty much a GPS mount. for my Incredible, i just received this:
it's made by Arkon.
Is there a way to find out for sure? I was looking at getting this app, and it heavily relies on GPS polling rate.
Trackmaster - Welcome

it's made by Arkon. it will be used mostly just to hold it while playing or streaming music, but will be fine for turn by turn directions. it's a little out of the usual line of sight while driving, but it'll be speaking turn by turn through my car stereo so it'll be fine.

question, can you rotate this?
Seriously. When you are using the navigator, if you zoom all the way in on the upcoming next location, it gives you an actual real-life satellite image of the street/intersection, etc. SO AMAZING![/QUOTE
I cant believe this is free. I have an aux in faceplate on my stereo and I put on Google maps The other day driving to palm springs it did voice direction thru my truck speakers then i had pandora going as well. It would play the music then when the nav had something to say it would cut the music and say the nav piece then go back to music... like it a lot.
How did you do that! When I syn to my car radio the voice turn by turn talk doesn't work. When I disconnect the bluetooth pairing to the radio it does work.
I think this was posted elsewhere but you should really install Nav Launcher: Nav Launcher - Android app on AppBrain
Makes it somewhat more like a full fledged Navigator. You can set up favorites, it gives you a list of recently used address..... and makes it less steps to get to the address in a contact as well.
