Amazon app market?

Just saw this article that says AT&T customers are supposed to be able to use the Amazon app market starting today but the article is dated tomorrow. Anybody know if its true? My phone is stock

att is enabling sideloading, the updates are coming out over the next week. i dont think there is anyway to tell if you have received it or not unless you try installing non android market apps

If you go to Settings>Development, you should see "unknown sources" when you receive the update. I do believe you'll actually have to check for the update, my phone shows nothing as of 10:35pm Central.

the updates are supposed to be automatic, like when the android market updates. and if what i heard is correct, there will be no check box on the captivate

hmmm...why would anyone unroot to get this update that is already available on the rooted device?
