HELP! After rooting and flashing a custom rom and kernel, I can no longer install Amazon App Store apps. I get a parse error when I try. It looks like they download, they just won't install. Any ideas?:confused::confused:

Really? Nobody has any other ideas what may cause this or how to fix it? :(:(:(

Have you tried clearing data and cache? I'm not sure how Amazons DRM works, but sometimes this helps with apps when they go batty.

I'm having the exact problem. Forced stopped appstore, cleared cache, and cleared data. Re downloaded the apk, cleared everything again and still no go. What?!

Go to the AMAZON APPSTORE on your desktop & find the devices listed, similar to the GOOGLE PLAY STORE.

If your device is listed multiple times, remove all but the latest.

This multiple listing of the same phone seems to happen every time the AMAZON APPSTORE app is deleted & re-installed on your phone.

I've had to do this on both my HUAWEI ASCEND & MOTOROLA PHOTON.

Keep is posted w/results! :)

Still no go. De-registered about 15 "devices", cleared everything again and still no go.

I think I had to delete the AMAZON APPSTORE APP from the phone, & delete all the 'devices' listed as your model(except for other actual devices that you may have).

Then try loading the AMAZON APPSTORE APP once again & see if it'll take this time.

Just stepped out but will try this when I get back to a desk machine and report.
Thanks

This fixed it for me on my Galaxy Nexus, THanks!

i have a little different issue,I just updated to 6.2, re-rooted and got Market going again and I noticed that I can't get apps from the Amazon app store to install. They will download, but then sit at the "installing" phase forever. When I restart the Kindle Fire sometimes it will try to install them again but it never finishes.

Any ideas?
