Amazon App Store Thread - Daily Free Apps

Is there a way to view what the permissions are on an app before installing an app. I know u can go to amazon main site then app store then a more detailed description with a section on what the descriptions are but how can I see it from the mobile version from the app store.
You can download it; it will tell you the permissions before you install it.

According to their website it should show permissions prior to installing the app. I have not seen this personally.

Yeah I know it does before installing. What I meant to say was before downloading the app can u see what the permissions are from the mobile app store on ur phone instead of going to amazon full website

I think amazon writes the app description for the apps in the appstore, the dev writes them in the market.

I was playing around with the app and discovered the home page doesn't work when you tap "play" but if you tap "menu" and then "play" it will work.

It guessed right on 2 of the 4 people I was thinking of, John Carter and Rand Al Thor. Couldn't get the real people right though, Rafer Alston and T.I.

Reasonably fun though I can't see myself playing with it all that often and I'm sure it'll be uninstalled shortly.

1 for 2. Success on George Clooney and it missed Alassane Ouattara.

He guessed Alex Mercer and Niko Bellic pretty damn quick. Solid Snake took him a few tries tho.
Found Belgian comedian Urbanus really quick, Belgian legend Jaques Brel took him ages.

Mind you, I still can't install apps from the Amazon appstore, I just browsed to my good old web genius. Akinator has been around quite some time. And yeah, instead of paying $2 (well, not today ofc) you can just browse over to the website :p

+1

It got: Joseph Stalin, Steve Jobs, Clu (From TRON), and Joel Zimmerman
It did not get: Armin van Buuren, and Amy Miles (I don't blame it... She's the CEO of Regal, and not very well known)

EDIT: I'm uninstalling it right now... It's fun, but not really...

I am not fond of this fragmentation of app stores. If someone else starts a store then I would have to go to 3 different places to upgrade the apps. I wonder how long Amazon will keep up the free app of the day?

This site must have been down for awhile, couldn't access it all morning.

APP FOR THE DAY IS

X Construction $1.49 (today is FREE)

Build bridges, not walls, with X Construction loaded on your Android (OS 2.1 or higher), and then send a train across your creation to see if it holds up under the pressure, or collapses into catastrophe. Representing a real-world twist on the addictive physics-based casual game genre, X Construction uses the materials and building principles of civil engineering as you try out new bridge designs and test their strength with fully loaded trains.

Good point, I wonder how long until we see the paypal appstore

I'm getting pissed off by reviews comparing this game to world of goo. Sorta like comparing an android smartphone to a fisher price phone.

Do we have any GOLF fans out here? Here is your free app

I was able to download Zenonia 2 to my Inspire but the banner at the top listing the free app of the day was blank. The only reason I knew it was the free app today was because it was the #1 free app.
