You don't have to install it. What you can do is go under the Appstore settings and set it to block downloads over 1Mb on 3G; turn off your wifi and "purchase" the free app. It will tell you that it was purchased but user settings prevented it from downloading until you get on a wifi connection. I've been doing it for the past month or so and all of the free apps are being saved on my account.
Today's Free App:
MLB.com At Bat 11
This is a great deal for baseball lovers. I realize the season is nearly over, but it's still cool to get for free.
For all the Amazon AppStore haters who say the free apps have been crap, they're free so quit complaining!

That is the same thing I was talking about. I just didn't explain how to install them later if choose to.There's another workaround too. I "buy" almost every FAOTD, but never install them until I have time to fully evaluate them. After the "purchase" is complete, all of your FAOTD apps show up within the Amazon Appstore app by going to: Menu>My Apps. It even shows how many apps you have in there with a number on the My Apps button. Once you tap My Apps, you can review your list & install ANY previous app purchased, simply by clicking Install. I just did it with a few apps again this morning & it works like a charm.
The older Nokia phones had accessories that did the same. Antennas and cases would light up when attached to the phone. There were even others, like a charm, that could just be near the phone to do the same.
And how is this relevant to the Amazon FAOTD?
It's papercam today. Already paid for this but worth every penny.
There's far too many apps out there and it's getting confusing! I just like the basic apps. My friend had a iphone 4s and the SIRI on there was great - can help you text message using your voice! Pretty cool i think!
silly clown.. trix are for kicks...
and there is still free apps from amazon.. and sometimes (once in a blue moon) there might be a good one
Think it about time we let this thread die and sink into oblivion
Why would you bump a thread that hadn't been posted to in 8 days to say it's time to not post to it and let it die?
