Yes side by side you'll notice a different, black on an AMOLED is black, black on a LCD shows a little bit of light bleed and appears more grey-black than black. Desires from 3 months ago (June-Julyish) were AMOLED but they ran out of AMOLED supplies so they produced SLCD ones.

in real world use, are they that diffrent , i not seen them side by side,
mine is the amoled, but it looks the same as my friends iphone , not any brighter clearer or anything that i can notice , but i am an old git
There are differences between the 2 but nothing glaringly so

less pink on slcd but still there
other than that for real world use i cant see it being an issue, also the slcd seems more visible in the sun (my mate has an amoled one)

If it says AMOLED on the back of the box it came in.

If you still have the retail box it came in, read the features section or on the description on the back, if it doesn't say AMOLED anywhere then you most likely have SLCD.
