An Alarming Trend...

There's laws on just about everything you can do, and then there's laws on those laws. Lol

When it comes to rights and all that it gets real murky. Why do you think the US has the supreme court? It gets even more murky when you go across country borders with whatever it happens to be that people see as questionable.

Is it all just a ploy to get everyone on the Cloud? I don't think so Imo since internal storage is growing to over 150 soon to be way more gb. I don't care how much music you listen to, I don't see how you could fill 150+ gb.

Having the Cloud can be seen as more secure when it comes to travel because if you have objectionable data it will just be blocked in whatever country. Then when you come back home it's there, instead of seized by a government entity.

There's pros and cons to the lack of sd cards. But this is where you have to decide..

What are YOU going to do about it?

Video can fill it very quickly. It's kinda lame watching video on the tiny screen of my crappy phone but it's better than nothing sometimes, and a larger phone or a tablet can be decent any time.

Data is gaseous. It expands to fill the container in which you put it...or at least it does for me.

I am going to vote with my money. Money speaks louder than words. Money talks, bullcrap walks. Put my money where my mouth is. You pickin' up what I'm layin' down? ;) But seriously, as long as it is profitable to sell devices without SD cards there will be devices without SD cards. As long as it is profitable to sell devices with SD cards there will have to at least be some devices with SD cards.

I agree. Some people prefer the idea of no SD card, there's a market for it.
 
Yup, agreed.

Now I actually prefer a device with an sd card (in addition to decent internal storage, not as an alternative), but I bought one without. It was a factor, but not enough to swing it by itself.
 
About that tiny screen thing, like Larry Page said, i can hold up my 4.7" LED phone screen at arms length and it completely blots out my 32" tv and has a MUCH better picture (cost a bout x3 the price mind you) so i actually watch a lot of stuf on my phone (cant wait to get a 7" tab lol)
Cant remember what my point was tbh lol.... .... my cat fell out the window last night n i havent slept..... *should sleep instead of letting thumbs freewheel on the keyboard*

When you log into an android device with gapps on it you check the box saying "i agree". Same as when you sign up to facebook or have an operation

You confuse Google with the Government. The Constitution does not apply to anyone other than government.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.[

The government cannot search ones private property including ones phone without a warrant and blanket warrants are illegal in this country, even though the Feds use them all the time in their illegal searches.

One cannot give up ones Constitutional rights through 3rd parties like Google. The right is only protection against government. Your relationship with Google has nothing to do with the US Constitution
 
Alright, this thread was already cleaned once for dipping into political talk. This was not a thread to debate law, it was to discuss how the tides were changing with Google that some customers aren't thrilled with. If you want to talk political or law, please take it to the Politics & Current Affairs forum. Therefore I'm going to lock this up.
