Do you people think this would be a good idea? Kinda like a Bikers club, but we call it the EVO something.... da da da da...
We all get together and play with our EVOs? Damn, I know that's reTURDed....

How about an Annual Android Convention. It will be in Vegas before each official OTA update and everyone that attends will be able to update there before the OTA. Once updated and getting used to the new "snack", The conference will be held on day two where, Andy explains all the new features and we get to experience it on our phone as well while he directs us! I think that would be cool as ice!
 
I can picture it right now. Girl walks into the room with her EVO and about 100 heads turn and STARE.

The EvOrgy wouldn't go over too well IMO. If we're all packing the same hardware then there's only so much to see before you've seen pretty much everything... (Though I bet Agent0014 would disagree).

But I am liking Kingtheproducer's Android convention idea. That would be sweet.
 
Someone write an EvoClubCookKidsOnly video conferencing app. We have a front facing camera, so it's almost like we're all together!
 
All this is a great idea!...or you know... do the exact same thing you've mentioned, but on the forum here, as we do already... just saying-- don't mind me.
 
I think just an Android convention would be great for companies to show off Android phones and people to show off custom roms and apps they are developing. Something more focused on what the community.

I actually thought about this a lot and wondered if we could rent out a convention center and have some different companies involved in Android sponsor it.

Kind of like the annual Apple WWDC... imagine holding it at Moscone in San Francisco.. Steve Jobs would be grinding his teeth to nothing :p Not a bad idea... not at all... might even help cure some of these fragmentation problems with the Android world!

But yeah, Evo meet.. yeah...

Are you sure about that? We have constant squabbling over whether the Evo or the Epic is the better phone. Wait till we bring in the Verizon Droids into the picture. An Android convention will be all about "my daddy can beat up your daddy."
