Android 2.1 Update

Android OS 2.1 reminds everyone that peeing in the shower saves water and not to talk back to your mother.
 
11 pages and 39,000 views later and people are still talking about this "sure thing".
No one from Motorola OR VZW gave any official date.
Everyone has to chill - and yes, we have ALL seen the motorola's post, now that it has been posted many times.
Let it just be a present when it comes.
 
Where is it? My sources (which are apparently wrong) have said it was supposed to be launched yesterday...

So, what's up with it? And when it is launched, what is it to include/update?
 
You do not mean that. You will forget you've said it. This thread wasn't merged... the poster searched before he posted. He will search again next time, too.

Verizon Wireless employees (basic representatives/customer service/store) do not know anything about the update until they receive an email the DAY OF LAUNCH.

I don't give a crap about Facebook - where is the OTA update for the Droid to 2.1? I am getting antsy, and wondering why I put off rooting and installing a custom ROM for 2.1 all these weeks.
 
This worked to get 4 new cell sites in my town (which drastically improved local signal) so maybe it'll work for this.

My new suggestion:

Everyone here: EMAIL Verizon Wireless (via contact us on their page), Google Support for Android (wherever you can find their info) and then Motorola and stress the importance of this update.

We all know it is basically ready for launch (as a similar update was launched on milestone) and something similar is on the Nexus One (am I incorrect?) so it's basically just waiting for people to press the magic button.

I worked for Verizon Wireless for 8 years (before moving to a company, not a wireless carrier, with more promotion opportunities) and Verizon had always taken their customer's thoughts and ideas higher than anything. The lower price plan for Unlimited Talk was brought about by customers. The Unlimited Messaging plans came about by customers. They DO listen.

I'm emailing all 3 now...i'm too anxious.
 
Sorry I'm new to this and the droid jus thought I would ask since every 1 wants a update then I figured someone would no what there updating
