Android 2.2 Froyo rolling out for Nexus One Now!

BK, its simple man do it...

apps not working for me are the directv, seesmic beta (only twitter part. buzz part works) , and a online radio. i reinstalled swype and now it works. thank goodness

I cant....I believe its only for the tmo version isn't it? Im on Rogers.....hmmmm now that I think about it ill probably get the froyo update in 2012 since I live in Canada lol

Not sure if this is the fully finished version of 2.2
- The music app looks the same
- The option to move apps to the SD card is disabled for a lot of the apps I looked at.
- Camcorder doesn't support portrait recording

This is probably just a press preview. We'll get the full thing later.
It is nice to play with it now though :)

as i understand apps to sd has to be implemented by the apps dev. i wasnt aware of a music app upgrade.. hmm

oooo, ok . bk. gotcha. sucks buddy

The problem might be to do with the zip download to my computer.

Within the .zip file I have the following:

META-INF
patch
recovery
system
error.565
install.565
radio.img

The last 3 files do not have a folder symbol at the side of them, and the file that says error.565 makes me think there was a problem with zip download. I downloaded it a few times and get the same folder contents.

Anyone else?

wow hotspot/tethering works great.. bye bye pda net. so happy i dodnt pay the 29 bucks for that app!

I don't know if this is a 2.2 question, it's just something I've seen in quite a few screenshots of 2.2 that I've not seen before:

What is the notification bar item next to the USB connected icon?

Thanks

I didnt read all these pages(ok so whip me) but is this going to automatically go to the phone and download, or will I get a notice that an update is available?

Just upgraded and everything just feels faster and smoother. I had to do the update twice the first time I was getting hung up loading.

Got 2.2 running on my T-Mobile N1, programs launch faster and seem snappier when quitting. The only thing I'm disappointed is that it's still kind of choppy when scrolling through the installed apps I thought they would smooth that out a little.

Thanks to the link and the video, I am now running 2.2. New phone button doesn't work yet though. I am looking forward to exploring the new features.
