Android 2.3 & 4.0 WiFi Internet HD 1080P HDMI Google TV Box ARM Cortex A9 Firmware

It's Ralink RT2870sta based usb module. I will see what I can do about it... I can add driver and firmware files to linux kernel, but not sure how Android will react on 2 wifi drivers installed and if it will work properly.

Tried to install the latest ref16 firmware and got the same error message as the one eddor 1614 got. Same thing happened when trying to get back to the previous version.
I tried with different Sd cards with the same result.
Any suggestion to have the box up and running again.

I am new to this forum.
So i have a question about android devices - now i am thinking about new toy to play with my TV, so i notice these two devices
in dealextreme -
GV-16 (Chipset - BOXCHIP A10; Processor Frequency -Cortex A8 1.2GHZ; RAM 1GB)
GV-10 (Chipset - Amlogic-8726 M3; Processor Frequency 1.2GHz; RAM 512MB DDR III)
last one i guess is the same chipset as in first posts mentioned? So basic questions is about -
1.Can this things can play smooth full HD?
2.Is it possible to browse web with them? What else i should know before buying one?
3. I am also thinking about dvb-t watching true this device?
4. Can i use it as IP-cameras router in home surveillance? ( as it has wifi , can i put together 3 wifi IP-cameras and this box to save video in "cloud"? )
5. When i can get any topic about firmware developing for this device? (any xda link would be fine)
6. Is it will be strong enought to operate with usb HDD?

If you have in mind fw from V-play download section - then answer is: No, you can not use that fw on rockchip based device!!

Try to contact your seller to send you fw with instuctions how to repair..
From specifications I cannot see what chipset is in your box - is ti Amlogic, Rockchip, telechips... or something else...

It's Refee M6 device, based on AML8726M (Amlogic m1 platform).
Original firmwares can be found at:
Lcd display, lcd media player, Lcd advertising player, Lcd digital signage, Google android smart tv box China Manufacturer Refee
You just need to find your reset button to start upgrade (I think, never worked with these devices).

- google apps updated (Play Store instead of Market, system stuff, servicesframework etc...)
- youtube is installed by default to userspace area (version 4.0.8)
- more languages in LatinIME
- Chinese and Japanese input methods (as requested)
- Bluetooth (BT dongles, Visson ATV-108 doesn't have BT module integrated)
- DVB-T drivers and firmware files for some devices, DroidTV app for watching DVB-T can be downloaded from Tools section on my download page
- 1080 resolution fixed, no more flickering and OSD is positioned right
- Stock Browser issue solved
- Ethernet issue solved
- Flash seems to work much better (full screen on filmehd.net, crashes only if 2 or more flash videos on same webpage - that's what I noticed)
- kernel fixes
- Amlogic apps and my Vplay Networking translated to Croatian, Catalan and German thanx to guys from androidforums
- All drivers available for USB cameras in kernel integrated
- All my previous changes + some other stuff I forgot to mention
Firmware can be downloaded from V-Play download section under Firmware - rev 2 platform (f16ref) section
Now after some rest, I'm attacking c03ref

I have updated, the problem that i noticed is the keyboard, works for a few minutes, than stops working. Need to pull of the wireless receiver to work again, the same as the beta...
Oh, and the wireless, only works with b/g mode, it detects the n mode, connects but can't access the net.

Is it possible to have it only load a wifi module once one is plugged in? That'd allow for more or less infinite drivers.
I have the same problem on 20120625_Android_ICS-ATV-108-f16ref. New firmware 20120807_Android_ICS-ATV-108-f16ref fixed this problem. The file remote.conf is different

Could please share knowledge on how have you fixed Android reboot on startup of Browser and AC3\DTS fix ?
Browser bug was introduced by recent update to 4.0.4 sources, and I haven't looked deeply into it yet.
As for the AC3\DTS, there is check for the license in efuse bytes 60-63. I've managed to write the correct data there (03 00 00 f8), however I've messed up my efuse version information, while doing it.
I think that's the reason, while AC3\DTS license still doesn't pass the check, but as efuse is one time write only, I can't check that.
Have you found the place in the code, where the actual check is performed ? I couldn't find, and I believe it's done inside .bin firmwares for bsp.
Can you please post your output of "efuse dump" from uboot ?

Hi, working on that since I released f16ref firmware.... Having kernel issues, fixed some stuff, but android itself is not working yet.... Good thing in all that is that kernel actually sees everything what's on internal memory
As for the latest f16ref still no go with my RF keyboard or even the mouse that came with the box.. In the beta it worked for some minutes now not at all.. Even worse a simple USB mouse (cabel) now works only some minute and the crashes after some seconds when re plugging till reboot.. Pretty unusable. What would be needed to check on this? Can't really adb with a box or? Any way to get logcat dumping to sdcard?
