Hmm.. buddy i think you need to re-flash, (and if you root, use battery calibration), because my phone is much faster than it was on VillianROM.
To your other complains, i'd say i prefer these small not-so-important bugs than improper gps and sleep of death..
Screen lag is there in any gb ROM for Ace right now, and that is the ROM's fault, no need for gpu for that
IF you chose you can switch back, but i'm staying on it.
will i be able to update from froyo to gingerbread?
i updated my galaxy ace to 2.3.4 and my screen turns off randomly like every 5 minutes and i need to press power to turn on the screen, so i downgraded my phone to 2.3.3 and the problem is still there, anyone know how to fix this? (sorry for my bad English)
ACFYeah it is possible to upgrade the ace to 2.3.4, BUT it isnt an official Samsung upgrade.hi buddy...
is this the official update by samsung??
iam planning to buy ace todaywill i be able to update from froyo to gingerbread?
pls advice
thnks
I have upgraded the firmware successfully to 2.3.4 and everything works fine except one issue. Previously when the firmware was froyo, I was able to access the android market, gmail and facebook etc.. using my data connection (2G).. After upgrading to 2.3.4, not able to access any of the applications which needs internet. I am only able to access gmail and facebook via browsers only. When I use Wi-Fi connection, I am able to access all the applications now also, but the problem is only with 2G connection.
Anyone faced similar issue after upgrading firmware..?? Any ideas/suggestions??
Hi guys,
I've been using my s5830 for four days now after flashing it from Froyo to Gingerbread 2.3.4
Do anyone experience about 1.5 sec response before the unlock screen appears?
And also, I experience setting the phone in Vibrate / Silent, but when I receive an SMS message, the message alert tone goes off and the phone is not on silent mode anymore.
Is there any fix for this? Or do I just have my setting wrong?
Note:
I rooted my phone and set an mp3 file as message alert tone

. Cannot say anything about the battery life though as its just five minutes after updating.
