Help Android 2.3.4 update

I can say.... not any time soon lol.
1st we have to wait for android to make it available....... then wait for samsung to push it threw that nasty software made by kids they call "kies".

I only want the update for the dual core battery optimisation :D :D

I am incorrect in saying that Google has already released 2.3.4 as nexus has it? So surely we are just waiting for Samsung?

I made a video call from mine the other day, yours doesn't do this? Or are you referring specifically to Google Video Chat? You can have that already, just go to modaco or XDA, its ported and running on SGSII's NOW.

Thanks for this info. Can you provide a link?

I don't mean to be rude, but honestly you could have found this link yourself, I just did a simple google search and these were in the top 4 results:

[APP][ROOT] GTalk 1.3 with Video - Working on the SGS2!! - xda-developers
r1 12 May - Google Video Talk Installer - Android @ MoDaCo

Hi Thanks for the link.

I downloaded the *.apk file and installed it using "AppInstaller". However, when I ran the application I got the following error message:

"No Root Access Found!"

I am new to modifying mobiles and wonder if there is an easy way to provide root access to this app?

You're not big on looking for things yourself are you ;).

The very first link in the list where you found this thread will take you to the right sub-forum that should tell you everything you need to know about rooting.

Can you tell us how did you do a video call from your phone? What app did you use?
