Root Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread back to 2.1 eclair

Guys how can i restore 2.1 eclair from Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread?

This post has links to all roms available for the gt540, including the stock 2.1 rom, however I cant seem to access the swiftdroid blog, which is where the stock 2.1 rom and install instructions are, perhaps dudeman knows of any problems with the blog right now.
