With sense 4.0 right around the corner, (will be unveiled at MWC Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on feb 27th) I don't know if we will see it our not... Kinda iffy... HTC would have to prepare the update for just one phone model in the U.S. Plus at a whopping 228mb size update some people are gonna fry they phones for sure, like not being fully charged before starting the update process...:(
Sounds like major surgery to me... ;) :(

I just wanna go ahead and say no, we won't see it...but I am also accepting the fact that I might be wrong....;)
I personally want sense 4.0, sense 3.0 really doesn't impress me... ;) I don't like how they took the scrolling wallpaper out...
Until then just get a lockscreen replacement app with the rings and icons and pretend you have it...

...or you could join the elite, root & flash a custom ROM with 2.3.5 that has sense 3.0...

I just want the update so i can feel like my phone is new again. More eye candy and things to play around with. 228mb isnt a lot on wifi.

root your phone and you can have 2.5 and 3.0 right now......... and it will feel not only like a brand new phone but better than when it was new

Next time you get an OTA update, time how long it takes to download. Then do the math to calculate the download speed and you'll see it did not come in via wifi.

You can have wifi on and connected, but, when you start the process watch the notification bar.
3G will be force enabled (icon will pop up in the bar) and take over from there... You will see the wifi icon and 3G in the bar...

Just try doing a check new software update while connected to wifi, the 3G will come on and take over...to check then go off...

Or how about this, throw the phone in airplane mode, connect to wifi, do a check new software update, you will get the message...service unavailable...wait a minute check new is actually grayed out, it won't even let you do it...

That isn't fair to the people who have a 150MB data plan. How are we supposed to update?

Man, 150mb, I go through that in one day while I'm at work I might add. Given, I never use my phone on wifi. That feature kind of does not exist for me.

How much do you pay for that? 150mb?

Not fair?!? You get what you pay for.

I got grandfathered in from centennial wireless (Verizon bought them out in my area) at 20$ a month unlimited. They sent me Dinc2 to replace my hTC wildfire in July '11 for absolutely free and I had just renewed my 2 year contract in January '11...
When I asked about the unlimited data for that price I made them send me a letter stating that in
writing, & they haven't pulled anything yet...
