Android 2.3

I have a Optimus one(android 2.2) and it tells i can upgrade it to android 2.3.... how to change it and whats the benefits?

I believe the latest version of android (2.3) for our phones are not currently out yet.

So regards to your question, it could be firmware upgrade?

i really dont know... im asking cuz i saw it can be upgraded... but im a newbie in android xD

Where can you see the upgrade option? through the suite? or in the phone?

The upgrade to 2.3 is not yet officially announced in India. I suppose it would be somewhere in Mar-April 2011.
I do not see it as additional benefits to users if you alreay have 2.2 on your phone.
It would be upadted through PC suit I suppose
