Samsung have officially released their ics kernel sources today. Things are really starting to motor now it seems. So this will mean almost certainly we have seen the last new GB kernel now. :( All we need is a good base now for a daily rom. Personally I shall remain sitting on the ics sidelines until checkrom v7 (ics) hits the streets.

Now that ics is officially in the hands of kernel developers, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gokhan, Simone, Hacre and all other developers of kernels that I have used over the past 9 months for all their hard work. Thanks fellas, you've given me and countless others one hell of a GB ride, and good luck with your future ics efforts.

You just ignored Rule no:1... Never, ever, tee off a mod. They can do all sorts of things behind the scenes to you... like change your avatar!

I'm hurt.... such abuse of power has never crossed my mind....

Samsung have officially released their ics kernel sources today.

Has this been confirmed? I only saw reference to "v4.0 source code" which I assumed was firmware only? If they've coughed up the kernel source too then they've really excelled themselves.

Maybe pressure's being exerted from The Chocolate Factory? I noticed a tweet this morning announcing that HTC had done the same for the Sensation.

Gokhan was going to stick to GB for the short term but this unexpected release changed his mind, so it seems 2.6.14 will definitely be Gokhan's GB swansong.
