Android 4.2.2 official rom (Rooted version)

O have a problem I downloaded the rooted version of Android 4.2.2, I love it and all. However I have a annoying issue. On the home screen on the right half of the screen there is text. It looks like debug info. And no matter what I try I can not get rid of it. Any advice?

Hi bfldworker. I moved your thread to the All Things Root forum for you.

Look in developer options in settings. There is probably an option checked to show that info. Just uncheck it.

btw .. which phone is this for?

Thanks for putting it in the right place.

It is for a Samsung Galaxy SII T989 (T-Mobile)

I did check developer settings, perhaps I missed something, I will try again and check the settings. Thanks.

Here is that screenshot. I have checked XDA Developers and it is known, but no one is offering a fix.

That's weird. Which rom is it?

Found a fix for the hardware info showing on the home screen.

You have to go into /efs/imei/keystr
and delete keystr and make a new file called keystr and use text editor in root explorer to type ON in it and reboot.

So far I have only been able to get it to work on rooted stock Android 4.1.2. Still figuring out the fix for the Jedi mind Trick rom which uses Touchwiz.

But it is a step in the right direction.
