Android 4.4.3? (ITS OUT!! 6/2)

Don't intend this as a debate. The issue there in abundance. Google is aware. Not fixed.
Glad you have avoided. Others not so lucky. Best ..

I've never had one single issue with wifi. I use it every day. Auto connects as soon as I get home.

I have, however, experienced random reboots and crazy battery drain once in a while.

The fact of the matter is, you can Google Nexus 5 (pick your feature) issues, and you will always come up with a long list of hits. Pick any other phone and do the same thing. You should see what I get for "iPhone 5 wifi issues" even though I am pretty sure that my iPhone 5 owning friends are as happy with their iPhone as my Nexus 5 owning friends are with their Nexus 5s.

People complain on the internet and bloggers like to report on complaints. If you are not willing to have a specific discussion of your issues, why post?

Glad you are happy. Bon voyage. :)

Thanks, I am happy with the iPhone 5s though I loved everything about the Nexus 5 except the WiFi glitch. Also pleased with my Nexus 4 before. My issue is that Google has taken so long to fix what should have been addressed much earlier. Not knocking Nexus for you if it works. But if it doesn't work then it is simply a waste. Did I want to make the move? No. Am I happy with final results? Yes. Would have preferred a different way, like Google fixing it and keeping a longtime customer. By all means. Hopefully the fix will arrive in time for my son who is patiently sticking with his WiFi-glitched Nexus 5. My intention is not to turn this into an IOS vs. Android debate. Good luck to those who find the Nexus 5 working for them.

That is what amazed me about his post. Look up the iOS 7 (and 7.1) complaints and the number of people that claim to have switched to Android because of how fed up they are with the issues of iOS 7, including WiFi issues.

Having said that, I'm happy he's found a phone he is happy with. I like the idea of having multiple operating systems, and that users can use the OS that works best for them. I especially like it because the competition forces innovation, that the various mobile OSes have to keep improving.

I certainly wouldn't go for an iPhone if my nexus gave me problems but as said, if you're happy then more power to you.

Too late to troubleshoot now but I do wonder if it was a problem that could have been solved...

Thanks for your thoughts. If you look into this issue, you will see about 10 recommendations for a temporary fix. But you will also see that many find no final fix. Incidentally that is why Google is having a WiFi fix in its next update. Glad you haven't been affected. Sorry I was because it ended my Nexus run. Best...

Agreed, if I had an unacceptable issue in my Nexus, I'd be looking at a One M8 or a GS5, not looking to start completely over with IOS and it's variety of issues.

Lets not turn this into a "you should have gotten 'X' " debate. They got a new phone, and are happy with it.

In the end, that is what matters

Apologies. That wasn't my intent. It didn't even occur to me that it could be received that way, but I totally see it. Whoops.

I sure am happy with my Nexus 5! I mean, I had been a long time SG3 owner until I ran into that glitch and that was just too much for me to handle. That glitch sure did ended my samsung streak right there. But now, I love my Nexus 5!

Just came to post that myself :o

Time to do the ol factory image restore. I trust T-mobiles info way more than Sprints

Does seem curious that T-Mobile announces it before Google. Whatever that case, I'll just wait for DU to get it. Might take my Nexus 7 (2012) back to stock if it does seem to be rolling out for that at some point.

You'll likely want whatever fixes are in the radios as well, and that'll be a separate flash

Nothing here in the UK yet

With Googles normal OTA rollout, it randomly selects 1% of devices by serial number the first few days. Location shouldn't matter.

I wouldn't hold your breath to be that 1%. (It wasn't me either :p)

Hopefully we have the factory image up soon.

Usually someone manages to logcat the url for the download or grabs the ota file itself so that you can adb sideload from the stock recovery for those who want to take the ota and don't want to wait.

Ok sorry but I'm very curious about this wifi "glitch" I know the user has moved on but still would help some of us curious users that help others to solve problems understand the "glitch"

There are a variety of WIFI glitches that have shown up, but I think this poster was referring to wifi dropouts or connection issues. Lots of users have had these type of issues, but it's very hit and miss, most have no issues with WIFI.

I had the opposite problem. My first phone wouldn't reconnect to cellular data after being connected to WIFI. On occasion, putting it in airplane mode would force a connection, but most of the time, I had to reboot in order to have cellular data.

Google swapped my phone without much hassle (15 min with tech support maybe?) and I haven't had the problem since.
