Root Android 4.4 rumor

Actually some of the reports I have read is that the g2 roll-out is beginning now, and the other devices will be at the beginning of March, oems tend to change their schedules, and seeing that lg wants to catch Samsung I would imagine that lg devices are gonna get updated quickly

Nope lol. Most of Samsung devices will have KitKat before lg devices. Right now the gs4 is getting KitKat, yes the USA versions and next month is for the gs3 and so on for its other load of galaxy devices. A few gs3 might have KitKat already too, my buddy just the ota last month to 4.4.1 maybe some kind of testing rolling out but still it got a stable KitKat lol. Yes the g2 KitKat update is rolling out to its Korean version. USA versions won't see it till the end of next month if lg can keep a schedule.

this attachment is irrelevant
what if i say it is about the LG OPTIMUS F7 variant a.k.a FX1
but we're hope that kitkat will come to us
Not too sure what you're saying, but this phone (LG870) is the fx1 which is on that list.
Here's the lines from your build.prop that confirms it...
Code:
ro.product.model=LG-LG870
ro.product.device=fx1
ro.product.board=FX1

We will all get the update, they are rolling out to the g2 first, than we will get it, probably in the april to may timeframe. What would be better is having a dev pull from aosp and building a 4.4 rom from source, than we wouldnt have to wait.

Push that ETA back by 2 months lol.

KITKAT with new LG launcher, 5x5 grid
also with knock-on feature
hope for this month release :D

Where did you get the knock on feature info? As far as I know only the L series other than the g2 is getting the knock on feature. BTW if LG is stupid enough I might be able to activate knock on feature after KitKat update if they disable it.

No official info about knock-on feature yet
But i hope it will

Btw, here is my complaint for this f7
Lcd still bright with only 0%, i want to save some more battery power

Well bad news for those who only use Ota
The new firmware cannot be installed via over-the-air update. Instead, the new update is delivered as a 1.5 GB KDZ file.
But this is only for the LG G2

Well we're not too sure whether we're getting it anyway lol. The LG G2 for Tmobile was the only G2 that had to update via computer with a kdz file. the OTA is actually rolling out for all G2 including now the Tmobile G2. not sure why LG decided to do it like that and then the next day release the OTA but whatever lol. We couldn't receive a update via kdz file anyway, our phone doesnt have the software for it, right now.

Well that go to know, like I posted earlier we might now even get it till holiday season so they can sell more."up to date " kit Kat phone on boost

4.4 kitkat wont be the top feature selling in phones around the holiday lmaoo. specs are forever upgrading and the next version of android will be out probably right before or during fall.

Based on the device list that phone arena says LG will update, So far starting today only 1 of those phones will get Kitkat. Its the LG Vu 3. LG just released the KitKat source for the phone just today which means the device will soon be getting a KitKat OTA. It is a korean phone so of course they will get the update first, the Vu 2 and LG Flex as well as some phones in the Optimus G line will will also get kitkat according to Phone Arena, it is my guess that those Korean will get the update first. Of course from there on out the Korean Optimus F lineup will get the Kitkat OTA once again if Phone arenas source is completely legit. Then i would assume LG will begin working on the US Phones they plan to update.

Dont get too Happy now, the LG list of phones that are suppose to be getting ktikat according to Phone Arena are a total of 11 Devices. 1 doesnt mean crap lol and i can tell you right now that at least 3 more will get updated, the Flex, and G pro and G lite. Once we see LG starts updating the korean versions of our phone is when you start to get excited. But not too excited, just a little bit;) As i said before in the past if phone arena is completely correct then my ETA of Kitkat for US is Summer. late june-august.

Last time I saw this notification to update on this app we got the v5 update... So a new update is close at had but still no ETA

That has nothing to do with ota updates. That app is just telling you that there's newer versions of those apps. Which there has been ever since KitKat and every other version higher than 4.1.2 lol.
