Android 5.1

I haven't yet but the factory image is available for download. I'm still waiting to see how it goes. I waited for 5.0.2 instead of jumping on 5.0 right away and am glad I did it's been solid as a rock.

I got my download for 5.1 a couple days ago. Smooth as silk, and appears to have fixed some of the battery drain issues.

I decided to manually flash it onto mine. I downloaded the full firmware, and then extracted it. I followed the fastboot commands and made sure I did it with out the -w so it didn't wipe my data. Worked great! I'm now on 5.1 and all is well.

I have used the Nexus Root Toolkit for most of my manual flashes. Worked great going from 5.0 -> 5.0.1 -> 5.0.2 and now -> 5.1. Can also use NRT to quickly re-root after doing the updates.

I have a Linux machine, and I didn't have any luck using the NRT with wine. I just manually flashed the TWRP recovery and then flashed SuperSU from recovery in order to root. It worked all fine and dandy. [emoji4]

I got the OTA upgrade a few days ago. Trying to figure out what app is preventing it from sleeping.

Well that was quick! Mine installed today, no obvious problems. Will check if the apps now auto update because none were previously, even though I have set to auto. (I know that apps requesting more tablet features have to ask first)

Never did figure it out. Stopped all running apps one at a time and it still would not sleep. Rebooted it and it was fine.

So you have S3 and nexus 7(2013)? Same here. Best of both worlds. Both a little old, but perfect. Love them both.

Yep. I've had my S3 since it was released on Boost and I got my Nexus 7 (2013) last Christmas. I love them both.

I downloaded the factory image and just flashed it to mine; again not using the -w so that it wouldn't wipe my data. I then re-flashed TWRP and superSU to re-root it. I haven't had a chance really to play with it yet.

I flashed 5.1.1 with Wugs tool kit Wednesday night and have had some time to play with it. So far so good.
