android apps x ios apps

Hi, guys I'm a new member of android forums, but I'm an old user of the information you share here. Currently I'm using an acer a500 honeycomb, and I also have a motorola flipout 2.1 mobile, I plan to upgrade for something newer next month.

I noticed that some app developers don't quite believe the users of android should be taken as seriously as the ios ones. First, there is an amazing ios app called stocktouch that allows you to make a fair accessment of the stock markets in less than 20 seconds. I went to their site and suggested them to develop the app in the android platform. The guy, named Steve, was very kind. Told me they were considering, but they would like "Android users to speak up so that we can get a sense of the demand". I kind of got the same answer after asking "The Economist" about a tablet version for Android.

For me it doen't make any sense. The kind of pleople who use Ios and Android are that different? I must confess I also had an Ipad 1, but I missed to much the flash player and the file manager, so I gave it to my wife, but I'm still a valuable consumer.

Kind regards,

Unfortunately a lot of developers still think like that. It is due to Apple's great marketing. Android is outselling iOS, but there are still more iOS apps. Another big difference is a lot more people buy iOS apps and just want free Android apps, even though I think that would change if the quality was the same for both.

The plus side is that things are getting better. When I first switched to Android when the Droid first came out it was a lot harder to find quality apps. At least the Android market is growing quickly and Android is catching up to Apple in terms of apps.

Would it be ok to ask you fellows to access the stocktouch website (stocktouch.assistly.com/customer/portal/questions/47668-android) and write that we'd like them to develop the droid app?
