Root Android Custom Rom Hacked?

As the title vaguely explains, Is Hacking a Android Custom Rom possible? With ClockworkMod, Security bugs, Etc?

I believe ClockworkMod is an insecure boot image? Now as its name suggests, Are there easy vulnerabilities someone can use to get through my personal password set, to lock the system?.
I am Aware that Custom Roms have potential to have bugs as they do not have a MASSIVE dev team like google does.
However, If I have that Clockwork mod would it make it easier to Hack and bypass that pin, to obtain some sensitive info?.

Thanks In Advance,
Michael.

welcome to AF!!!!!!

so when you root a phone you do run the risk of attack to some degree. basically when you root the phone you bypass the phone's security so that you can gain root access to the phone. it is kind of like renaming yourself as administrator on your pc.

now recovery is kind of like a mini os for the phone. it operates on its own separate from the android os. i have not heard of it being vulnerable to attack from anything malicious. but really anything that can have root access can potentially have access to everything.

now as long as you adhere to common sense and watch what you install on your phone you should be fine. i have been rooting my phone for years now and i have never had anything malicious happen to my phones.....so rooting your phone will be up to you.

here is some thing you can read up on:

hope that helps....any questions please feel free to ask
