Android Fantasy Football 2011/2012

I 'm not opposed to switching if the majority want to, but I've gotten used to Yahoo and quite like it.

Also, I much prefer picking a DEF team vs. individual players (actually, I didn't realize people did that even).

Do people want me to fire up a Yahoo! league then? I don't want to step on any toes if someone else would rather be GM.

I would like to see us 'vets' all play (those that are able).

I'm for sticking with yahoo cause I honestly don't have the time to learn espn (is it true that there app isn't free?)

Hitman, will you still play if we stick with Yahoo?
 
Looks like we don't have any objections to Gnome being commish or any other volunteers so.... Gnome, you are it!

Also look like we are sticking with Yahoo which is fine also.

I'm really excited for the season to start!!!
 
Anyone keeping a tally on who all is in? Obviously returning players get first dibs (only matters if we have more than normal wanting to play)

Perhaps we need a new thread??

Or can someone go through last couple pages and see who all has posted wanting to play?

If Gnome would like to start a new thread so he can keep the OP up do date that would be great. Also I can find the list of players we had last year.

Might not a bad idea. Will be hard to keep track of who wants to play in this long ass thread. Plus since we are essentially starting over we might as well have a new thread.

We should have everyone who wants to play sound off one last time in this thread, then Gnome can start the new thread, link it here and we can get back to the smack talk :D
 
Since we are starting a new league anyway I'n not totally opposed to switching. I need a (free) app to manage team though. I'm assuming nfl has one? (cant check at work)

We got a little time. Plus I'm more interested that those of us that have done this past couple years stick together than anything else

I can't speak to how good it is, but the NFL does have a free app - and the features list looks as good as Yahoo!'s to me.

Awesome, if there's no objections I'll spin up an NFL.com league tonight and get a new thread started on here.

Any input from everyone on scoring/roster sizes? I usually take the default in Yahoo, or only make small adjustments. Any thoughts/opinions/complaints?

Yahoo is the one I am familiar with so as close to their settings as convient perhaps?

Default league settings sounds good to me. As long as it's H2H, I don't care. However, we should figure out how many people we will be able to get in before starting the league. I think minimum is 10, so we should aim at least for 10 although 12 is preferable.

Agreed, perhaps start a new thread, link it here and have everyone check in again? There are a few of us that I know are definitely in, you, me, gnome, goat, ac13, chlrwltrs, lex... everybody else (did i miss anyone) needs to speak up
