Android Live Scores

Anyway I can request a feature?? Because you guys are tied with yahoo why couldn't you guys tie in a nice fantasy basketball stats and match ups and changing line ups into the whole app that would be the most epic app of all time...
 
Great. I was just coming here to say that I noticed some partial wake lock time for Live Scores today.

My phone hasn't been sleeping properly the last few days. Hope this is the reason why.
 
Thanks for getting the update out. Wow, people in the market are brutal with reviews. If you didn't notice an issue and get a quick fix out, it would have killed your rating quickly.

Yeah it's the same version label (1.5.1) as the last release, I just fixed the wake-lock and re-released.

... Actually some NASCAR work I had been doing slipped in there too. ;)
Now you can click on the driver and see the driver card.
Edit: though the driver card isn't done, sometimes some of the text fields are too long for the view - gotta fix that.

Definitely like to have but not as easy as it sounds.
 
Just wanted to let you guys know I installed the app and liked it BUT I was after a widget where I could view the whole premier league scores at a glance. With the small Widgets I can't fit every match in and the larger requires me to scroll through each match. Would happily pay of u had a 4x4 widget that shows all the matches for the weekend and updates as it goes...

a quick suggestion. im not sure if its on the agenda, but just bringing it up.

for the news section, im not a big fan of it taking me to my browser. is it possible to somehow get to read the article from within LiveScores itself, without opening yahoo.com in my browser???

and also, for the NHL, i dont see any ESPN articles. its all yahoo and cbs.
 
The NASCAR widget seemed to work pretty well for me. I didn't open up the app to see if that was working or not.

The only problem I saw with the widget (Sprint Cup) was that, with only 3 or 4 laps remaining, the widget had already switched over to next week's race. I don't see an arrow offering me a way of manually switching it back. As a user, I expect the widget to display the results of a race for a few days after that race had taken place with a line or two at the bottom telling me when and where the next race is. I realize this widget is still in beta, so I am not complaining... just bringing it to your attention.

When did ESPN start to acknowledge hockey? ;)

If we loaded it in the app, it would still show the yahoo webpage, it would just be in the app. The benefit of opening in a browser is that you can bookmark if you like and the browser has better resources than an app webview.

right. but i guess what im getting at is for the app to just take the text from the article and past it into the application. the best example i can give you is the ScoreMobile and SportsTap applications. They dont use the browser. they just have the plain text from the story in their app.
 
i may be a little late,

has anyone had problems with the large widget not updating until you open livescores manually??

this was the case last night during the 76ers game. the game started at 7:00. and at 8:15 the widget was still stuck on the preview, showing the start time @ 7. i was recieving alerts, but the widget didnt update itself.
 
Hi Aaron,

When The app is move to SD card, the widget disappear from the widget menu. Is this something that will be fixed soon?

It is not a problem with the app. Any app that you move to the SD card the associated widget for that app will no longer work. With any app, if you want to use the widget you need to leave it on your internal memory, not move it to the SD.
