Android Live Scores

Would it be possible to add a feature to change the color of the text in the notification area when you get an alert? On many dark themes, since the text is black you won't see the score since the notification area background is also black. If a custom color is too much work, how about just having a light or dark option (white text or black text)? If you need a screenshot let me know.

heads up - it looks like there are some connectivity issues due to sharing servers with NCAAB apps... We're working on it.

so i may not understand the logic of the widget and how its supposed to scroll through teams or update of whatever was posted earlier.

i was watching the flyers game last night. so this morning i woke up and the flyers are still the starting point (they DONT play tonight), and the phillies are not (they DO play today, at 1pm).

Should the widget switch automatically to the phillies, because they DO play today and the flyers dont??? is this a bug OR is this how the widget is actually supposed to be working?
 
Hey guys, great job on the app. I've recently started re-using it and I have to say im loving the new style and layout, a real pleasure to use again!

One problem I do have though is with the alerts, now granted i've only been using it for about a day so it could be a temporary problem but i've set alerts for a few clubs in the English Premier League, for any goals scored, but im not receiving anything at all. I'm going to try it tonight with a few NBA games, see if it's something only related to the Premier League but I just thought i'd let it be known (sorry if it's been mentioned on a previous page).

Overall though I love the changes you've made and the game details now available for Premier League action is great, when I was using it before, the app would only tell me the score, not who scored/got booked etc, so it's a massive improvement.

EDIT: The NBA alerts seem to be working fine, tested it on 3 games so far and they've all come through.
 
I've also received no alerts for soccer. I have them set for the Philadelphia Union matches. Is this another limited data feed that we have for the MLS?
 
Using the app on the Thunderbolt and it looks great.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed before, but is there gonna be a ad-free version of this app? I would be willing to throw down some money to get a "pro" type version where there are no ads.
 
It seems there is a bug if you subscribe to an alert for a game that later becomes rescheduled. Your alert will be lost because that rescheduled game is dropped and replaced with a new game with the new schedule. We're looking into a fix for this but for now, just a heads up.
 
When using the large widget, is there any way to set it so all the nba games are scrollable instead of just my favorites? I don't want to have to favorite all the teams, to get this done.

If I'm not mistaking, I believe the alerts are down again. I was receiving alerts until about halfway through the Flyers vs Penguins game tonight, then they just stopped coming. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it still wouldn't fix the problem.

EDIT: nevermind. it seemed to be working fine today. must've just been me.
 
I don't seem to be getting any Orlando Magic (NBA) alerts. I have Game end listed in my Alerts but nothing shows up, nor has it for a few games now. They seem to work fine for the Lakers though.

Worth reinstalling? Or is it just a problem with the alerts that'll sort itself out?
 
^^^ reinstalling wont do anything for alerts. If you're not getting data alerts, it could be your data connection or maybe the android os has killed the background service. starting the app would revive the backround service.

We are working on a server-push solution which will resolve all that, but its a ways out.
 
Notifications have been much worse lately. I no notifications for the last knicks game and I think there was an Islander game that I got nothing for. Will try to monitor more closely.
 
Do you think its just NBA? What about other sports? It could be that there is a issue with our NBA data that is causing alert updates to get skipped, but its hard to catch from our end unless we actually observe it.
 
Islander updates are going well so tonight.

Will see how Mets game goes tomorrow night.

I'm sure it completely blew off the Knicks game last night, but I was getting Met updates during the day yesterday.
 
No, still issues tonight. I got the first goal in the Islanders game, but now it's 5-1 (the widget is correct), but I've received no notifications after the first goal.
 
seems to be sporadic. on tuesday night i got the 1st quarter alert for the sixers, but nothing else. last night i received the phillies alerts, all of them. and tonight i didnt get a single alert for the flyers. i think its all leagues, they just work when they want.
 
Ok. You definitely have major problems with updates. Writing as it is now, it's virtually unusable for updates.

Tonight, I just got one notification a bit after the start of the game and that was it. The widget does seem to keep up.

Can you get this fixed soon?
 
Still bad.

Got the notification for first scores in Mets and Islanders game and nothing since.

Hope you guys can fix this soon. It's unusable right now, at least for notifications.
 
^^^ Do you get other notifications? Have you tried going back into the app when you think you're not getting notifications? I suspect the Android OS may be killing the background service on your phone. What phone are you using? How much resources are available when notifications seem to be broken?

I've been subscribed to MLB games for the past couple days and it's been great for me.
 
If you truly need alerts, right now (judging by the lack of alerts for livescores) I would suggest using ESPN text alerts, atleast until they've got the problem fixed. That's what I've resorted to. You may already know about ESPN texts, you may not. Just throwing that out there to help ya out.
