Root Android Market -finding the "app."

AidanW

Newbie
After finding many games/apps from AppBrain and trying the link to the market i get this error.

Not found- The requested item could not be found

Some of the games that I'm after are flick kick football etc, and I'm currently running FroydVillain1.7.1 Android version 2.2.1 - any way to get these apps? Do i need to flash another ROM? Or am i wasting my time, are these apps sluggish and slow on the hero?

Thanks, A

If the app isn't shown in the Market then chances are it's not compatible with the device. An exception is if you're running a custom ROM, as occasionally the build.prop file will misrepresent the device and 'confuse' the Market into thinking your device isn't compatible when it is. In such a case, you can restore another ROM from backup, d/l the app, back it up, restore the original ROM and then restore the new app. Or nag the ROM developer to correct the build.prop file. :)

Btw, suggesting any illegal methods of downloading apps is against forum rules regardless of the situation.

I sometimes had a similar problem when using Marketenabler. When I downloaded an app from another "carrier" and then on my default carrier settings the item could not be found when trying to update it...
