Check out HTC - Support There is new firmware (1.32.405.3) out today, it doesn't say anything about the market problems, but it might help.

It's still not working for me, I am getting really fed up of this now. Is everyone else still having the same issues. I may have to try a hard reset

Tried the Google talk thing. Tried clearing cache. Turned phone off and on dozens of times. But still can't download or update from marketplace. Getting seriously irritated.

Still not working :(

JUst noticed, I have been posting in the wrong forum. Thought I was in desire. I guess this issue affects all android users though

Same same, Im on a Magic but I guess this is not a phone specific issue.

Hard reset - that is restore factory settings, right? So lose all the aps I already have and the data stored on them? Not tempting.

The irony of all this is the thing I wanted to download when i first noticed I had a problem was MyBackup Pro.

I could actually picture myself abandoning Android over this. I am due an upgrade before the end of the year and was going to go for an DHD or a Desire but given how widespread a problem this is I will have to consider my options. No point in upgrading to another phone that is going to give me all this same aggravation all over again - and be locked into a contract for several years.

Android is more than just Desire, DHD and HTC. There are other handsets that may be for you, running Android.

Take a serious look at the Galaxy S.
