Root android sdk opinion needed...

waiting for this to install... anyone familiar with this... trying to scratch the surface as to mod'ing certain things on my own and came across a thread suggesting this... ease of use??? worth my time??? pro's / con's...

I've used it a bit, I was trying to write an app with eclipse, and was using the android VM to test it on.

A little FYI, don't have you're phone plugged into your computer while doing this, you may accidentally send the app or whatever to your phone. I was just slightly shocked.

It's really not too confusing, the google page goes very in depth with it and makes it a breeze to use. Worth your time? Probably depends on how serious your modding adventures are going to be

Dood, I'm in it thick right now as well. Been reading and reading, and downloading just about everything you could possibly need. I've just now begun to scratch the surface, and it looks like quite a large onion! Check out the Ulitimate Themeing Guide over at XDA, lots o good info. large onion? it stinks? NO DONKEY!!! ITS GOT LAYERS!!!! yeah the sdk is quite the deep thing to delve into, youre basically creating(or modding) a linux system with it.... wanna talk about a brain f__ker? LoL Linux is awesome, just a tad intense sometimes
