Root Android System Recovery Mode for skyrocket?

[capman]

Ok, after trying Alien three ROM for a week now, I got the process .com error that make my phone unbootable.

Now, I must be doing something wrong , and I got into by luck last week, but I am asking after countless searches with different ways to do it ( and the following one I can't get to go because i must be tired and or stupid):

1. Turn off the phone
2. Press and hold Home Button ( middle ) + power on for at least 10 seconds
3. Android System Recovery Mode Appear

I ask and beg, please give me the magic combo to get into the Android System Recovery Mode on the skyrocket for AT&T as the wipe and clean in clockwork is not working and I know this worked last week in the recovery mode.

Thanks and embarrassed,
R
