Help Android System Running 90-100%

Hi, first post, i just have a question about this my android system is running at 90-100% all day long no matter how many times i restart my phone, i've been looking around the forums and found some say that doing a factory reset will fix the problem, just wondering if that is true and currently having some issues with applications that they keep closing after a couple of minutes like the fpse emulator and even some games from the android market, im just wondering if i should do the reset and what else should i do, thanks for all your help in advance

Doesnt make a difference, what ever is running the android system is required to power the phone my is usuaally somewhere around 60-90, you can do the reset but it honestly wouldnt make a difference, maybe it would drop a couple percentage but thats it. If you watch it frequently though out the week you would see that it goes down alot sometimes and maybe even goes up it all varys just try not to make a lot of stuff in the back although android 2.3 is known to manage ram/apps in background.

You might also try getting an app that shows you exactly where all of that power is being used so you can kill the apps that are running that you aren't using. I use "wheres my droid power" and it works well for me. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info about the app, the weird thing is after I checked it says that my android system it was only running 0.55% but on the battery usage app that's built in it says 95% is that okay? Thanks for all your help I'm new to this android thing haha

Yeah thats average for me too...

Little off topic but after seeing that and that my display is only using up 2% of my battery I turned off auto brightness lol Im looking at it now and my phone's display has been on for 3 and a half hours over the last 16 and a half hours my phone has been off charger and has still only used 2% battery... we must have a seriously efficient screen on this thing...
