Hi,

SONY will not update X8 to Android Gingerbread 2.3.3
You have to Root, install xRecovery and then install a custom Gingerbread ROM

SONY Ericsson will only update X10 to Gingerbread 2.3.3
X8, X10 Mini & X10 Pro are not going to be updated.
